Wellington Wiki:About

From Wellington Wiki

Wellington Wiki is a collaborative, student-managed knowledge base documenting various aspects of Wellington College International Tianjin. The platform is maintained entirely by the Wiki Committee, a student-led editorial body, and operates independently of the school administration. Its purpose is to preserve institutional memory and provide a centralised repository of information regarding the school’s history, culture, and activities.

Purpose

The wiki’s primary objective is to record the life and development of the school for students, alumni, and researchers. It serves as a reference for campus infrastructure, academic programs, cultural traditions, and notable contributions of staff and students. By documenting both routine operations and significant events, the wiki supports orientation for new students, connection for alumni, and research into international education practices. It functions as a neutral space where multiple perspectives on school life may coexist, provided they are verifiable and presented in a factual manner.

Scope

The content of Wellington Wiki covers multiple facets of Wellington College International Tianjin, including:

  • Campus and facilities: Architectural details of academic buildings, athletic complexes, and arts venues, with attention to design and pedagogical function.
  • People: Biographical entries for faculty, administrative staff, and notable alumni, highlighting their professional contributions.
  • Events and traditions: Documentation of annual celebrations, competitions, lectures, and other school-wide activities, supplemented by photographs and firsthand accounts.
  • Academics and programs: Information on curriculum, house systems, scholarship initiatives, and other educational programs, including historical development and recent innovations.
